Alien Projects’ trick “Dreamliners”
No, they don’t come from outer space, but the very first offerings from Chris “Nightstalker” Walker’s Alien Projects company surely do look like something out of a time warp. Part COE tractor, part flatbed, and completely Kustom, the tandem truck rods are a natural extension of Walker’s talent for altering models - if not reality - in small scale.
If you had to put a scale to these, they’d rule out at around 1:64; Chris’s favorite size, and one he’s become famous for populating with outrageous customs wearing bodacious graphics and wheels.
Of course, this ground-up exercise is a whole ‘nother level of design for Walker, and the debut is made all the better by the inclusion of sweet flamed rods, special editions (Like the DiecastSpace.com Convention trucks) and even a trio wearing Dennis “Little Daddy” Roth designed graphics. The castings are very good, and though there’s no interior detailing, the fitment of the plastic pieces to the bodies is tight and even, with a solid quality and very good paint and decals.
It’s always cool to see a new manufacturer in the limited edition collectible models arena - and these trucks are a close encounter we think you’ll enjoy. - CRM
